I just had the craziest Christmas EVER. Today, one or all of the Davis family members at some point wrecked their car, fell down a flight of stairs, got stranded, waited 6 hours for a cab, and experienced a cab ride in which the driver actually said out loud, "Oy, Jesus, help me- it's your birthday!"
...That's all.

Layer of ice, foot of snow on top of that, another layer of ice, 1/2 foot snow on top of that. My 75 pound greyhound walks on top of ice layer #2 without breaking through.
I'm at my parents house, making Christmas presents. Stuck stuck stuck. I want to see Julie!!!

If I ever get cast as the witch, in anything really, but most notably in Into the Woods, my life will be complete.

Go friend me please, because it'll be really lame if I don't have friends, and then I'll have to delete it. Sad.
Anyway, yay!

I QUIT MY SHITTY JOB!!!

Tina Fey, OMG!
Also, word is that Amy Poehler won't be coming back to SNL after she gives birth. That's a bummer, but looks like there's now a cozy opening on the show that I can slide right into!

There is a kitten that visits me in my dreams every once in a while. He's black and white. He's just a normal kitten, except instead of saying "meow," he says "Hooodah-HOOOO!!"

It's over!
So first, I'd just like to thank EACH AND EVERY PERSON who came to my recital. Every person there helped make it that much more special. The crowd was awesome- pretty big, and just very responsive. They were a dream come true! I ended up just having a great time out there, and I really think it was because the crowd was so amazing. Thank you!!!
Yesterday Samm made me drive up to Skamania to audition for a really small production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. They cast me as Miss Flannery, the goofy/stuffy secretary. I really only wanted Millie or Miss Dorothy for this show. I'm considering my options, but I'm pretty sure I won't accept the role. If Samm accepts his, I might as well, though.
Anyway, after that we hung out at Multnomah Falls for a bit. Then I went to SATC with my ladies! It was amazing, of course! Charolotte was my favorite this time, she was so much funnier than she used to be!
Lots of love happenin' right now.

So... am I the only one who is cool enough to understand the greatness of 'So You Think You Can Dance?'
Even if I am, you need to check out this guy. His name's Brandon Bryant, and he is the MOST AMAZING DANCER I'VE EVER SEEN!

Am I right?

Also, my recital is tonight..... eek!

I know this is really Savira's area, but I have to say..... I'm SO EXCITED for the Sex and the City movie! It's going to be amazing!
My recital is Friday night, so I was really hoping we could all go see it Saturday some time during the day. What does everyone think? Allison's recital is that night, so we should go to the movie before that. Maybe happy hour after to celebrate?

Today I had:
A job interview.
A piano recital for my little dumplings.
Both went well- the job interview was good, but I don't think the job is for me. Still a positive experience, though.
The recital was ok- everybody was a little screwy, I think maybe the heat affected them.
Anyway, at the end of the recital they gave me TWO DOZEN BEAUTIFUL PINK ROSES and one of my girls gave a little speech. It was SO HARD not to cry, you have no idea! My families are all so great, it's going to be hard to leave them.
Lately between Matt and my kiddos I always seem to have a pretty bouquet in my house! I'm such a spoiled girl!
I asked Sophia how she was today and she said sweaty. That's about how I feel now, so I took my dress off and now I'm eating pickles in my underwear. Doesn't get much better than that, folks. Julie says life is easier when you have your pants on, but I sort of feel the opposite lately. Good thing I don't have a roommate right now!

I hung up a pansy pot on my deck, and a little red bird couple moved in and built a nest right in the middle of all the pansies! I can't wait for them to lay eggs and have a little bird family, it'll be so cute! I named them Lou and Charlene.

So my mom bought a bunch of chocolates wrapped in ladybug tin foil and spread them all over the dining room table as an Easter decoration. After a few glasses of wine, she took her spoon and launched a ladybug into my coffee cup, splashing coffee everywhere!
Dad says no more ladybugs next year.

Yes!- I never have to sing another jury ever again! Unless I go to grad school, but that's like, light years away. So, yay.

No!- Sometimes I don't get a role and I don't care. And sometimes it's really REALLY hard to keep auditioning after getting turned down. Can you guess which one I'm feeling right now?

Vanilla and lavender candles being burned, kava plus organic nighty night tea being drunk, fuzzy socks and flannel pajamas being worn, all trying to get me to calm the fuck down.
I don't know why I let myself get so stressed out this term, but I did. Anyway, one audition down, and one paper out of the way. So I've got a start.
I have a little performance tomorrow, I got asked to do a reading of The Seven Year Itch with Mt. Hood Repertory. I'm playing Miss Morris, the sexy secretary. It's a fun little project, and a great script, but I'm not loving the fact that it's during finals week. Oh well, c'est la vie. That's the price you pay for being, well, pretty much famous.
I love love love all of my friends, but sometimes I wonder why they hang out with me. I've got the most diverse ensemble of friends, and I don't feel like I really fit in with any of them. I stayed out too late last night. It was worth it, though, catching up with my high school friends. I just love 'em.
It always entertains me to think that Julie and I went to the same high school, but really we went to two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT high schools. We really did.
In case you were wondering, I keep post-its in my purse, on my desk, next to my piano, and in my kitchen. At all times.
I'm just really rooting for Tibet right now. And the seals. Please go to the PETA website and sign the seal petition.
